The Department of Cardiology at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital currently has one ward and one intensive care unit, with a total of 35 open beds and 10 CCU monitoring beds. Characterized by interventional therapy for coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, viral myocarditis, and dilated cardiomyopathy. In addition to setting up cardiology specialist clinics and general clinics, there are also specialty clinics such as coronary heart disease interventional treatment follow-up clinics, pacemaker clinics, hypertension clinics, hyperlipidemia clinics, and arrhythmia clinics. We receive 40000 outpatient visits and treat over 2000 hospitalized patients annually.
In terms of interventional diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, patients have undergone radial coronary angiography to solve the problems of difficult hospitalization and expensive medical treatment. Since 2003, a "green channel" for emergency intervention treatment and rescue of acute myocardial infarction has been established, completing about 110 cases of emergency intervention treatment for acute myocardial infarction every year, saving the lives of a large number of patients with acute myocardial infarction. We have accumulated rich experience in the interventional treatment of chronic total occlusion lesions, left main coronary artery interventional treatment, and other difficult specialty interventional surgeries. Coronary intervention treatment has been performed in over 400 cases per year, with a success rate of over 98%. The complexity of the cases and the treatment outcomes have been recognized by peers both domestically and internationally.
In terms of intracardiac electrophysiology and pacing, advanced equipment such as Pruka700 and SIEMENS electrophysiological multi-channel recorders are used to complete nearly 100 cases of cardiac electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation surgery for rapid arrhythmia every year, with a high success rate and few treatment complications. The Department of Cardiology at Peking University Hospital has been implanting artificial pacemakers since 2001, and has accumulated nearly 100 cases of various artificial pacemakers, with rich experience in implantation and follow-up. In recent years, there have been 50 implants per year, with physiological cardiac pacing accounting for over 40%. In recent years, active efforts have been made to develop automatic defibrillators (ICDs), synchronized biventricular pacing for the treatment of heart failure (CRT), and cardiac pacing for the treatment of vasovagal syncope.
The traditional treatment for congenital heart disease is open chest surgery, which causes significant trauma and causes great pain to patients, especially children and adolescents. Peking University Hospital carries out the treatment of atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus and complex congenital heart disease through catheterization, with minimal trauma and fast recovery, which has been welcomed by patients and their families.
